This morning took place the last meeting with the Asean Embassies in Paris. We were received by the Ambassador of Cambodia, H.E. Mr. Chem Widhya.
LUNCH-MEETING WITH THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA IN PARIS
Yesterday, February 25, a lunch-meeting was held between the Counselor for Economic Affairs of the Embassy of Malaysia, Mr. Pravinganesha Rajoo, the Chairman of our Association, Mr. Tomás González, and the Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Viñal. During the lunch it was agreed to explore possibilities for collaboration between the Embassy and ASEMPEA.
MEETING WITH THE EMBASSY OF MYANMAR IN PARIS
Our Association’s Chairman, Mr. Tomás González and our Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Viñal, were received yesterday morning by the Myanmar Ambassador in Paris, Mr. Kyaw Zeya, and by the Minister Counselor, Mr. Mang Hau Thang.
MEETING WITH THE COMMERCIAL COUNSELOR OF THE EMBASSY OF LAOS IN PARIS
Our Association’s Chairman, Mr. Tomás González, and our Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Viñal, met this morning with the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Laos, Mr. Morakot Vongxay. In the course of this meeting they agreed to explore possibilities for collaboration between the Embassy and our Association.
COFFEE MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF MALAYSIA, PRESIDENT OF THE ASEAN GROUP IN MADRID
At our Association’s headquarters, H.E. Akmal Bin Che Mustafa, Ambassador of Malaysia to Spain and current President of the Asean Group in Madrid, delivered this morning a speech to our partners and guests. He explained the characteristics of Asean as an Intergovernmental Organization of Southeast Asian States and the Asean Economic Community as a forum for regional integration, aiming to become the fourth largest economy in the world by 2050.
