The last January 12, we held a lunch with the Spanish Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Felipe de la Morena Casado, dedicated exclusively to Asempea members. During the lunch, the Ambassador made an analysis of the current economic, political and social context of the country, after which there was a lively discussion in which the Ambassador and the attendees exchanged views on bilateral relations Spain-Thailand and how to do business in the Thai market.
At the event, a plaque was also presented by the Port of Barcelona (Asempea’s partner) to the Ambassador in appreciation of the support received in the mission he carried out to Thailand in October last year.
Sustainable investment has grown significantly in Indonesia over the last decade as more investors are concerned about sustainability challenges. The Thai government will reopen the market for Spanish table grapes and pears after negotiations and a specific audit.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will publish the information and regulations for the registration processes for future table grape and pear export seasons.
