This morning, the Spanish-Asean Business Association (ASEMPEA) held a Webinar about Thailand, focused on the political, economic and social situation of the Country, as well as on the opportunities it presents for foreign investors, despite the delicate situation caused by the spread of Covid-19.

The session was open by Mr. Tomás González, Asempea’s Chairman, and the speakers were H.E. Mr. Emilio de Miguel Calabria, Ambassador of Spain to Thailand; Mr. Luis López, Economic and Trade Counselor; and Mr. José Sánchez, President of the Spanish-Thai Chamber of Commerce.

The speakers agreed that Spain is still a very unknown country in Thailand and they encouraged Spanish companies to take risks and bet on a country that presents great opportunities in different sectors, such as: automotive components, transport, renewable energy, water treatment, agro-industry, food, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and health.
